Compact transformer from TDK EPCOS with EP 6 cores at Rutronik. The B78416A series of compact transformers from TDK EPCOS with EP 6 cores is designed for optimum impedance matching between driver IC and the ultrasonic transmitter or receiver.

The B78416A series is magnetically shielded for better interference suppression.

This makes it perfect for use in applications such as parking aids, industrial robots, drones, logistics robots, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and fill level measurement systems. The compact transformer is available at www.rutronik24.com.

The series comprises five types with transmission ratios from 1:1:8.42 to 1:1:15. Depending on the type, the SMD-style transformer offers inductance values between 3 mH and 5 mH and is suitable for frequencies from 52 kHz to 300 kHz.

The component is AEC-Q200 compliant and very compact with dimensions of 9.0 x 7.6 x 7.1 mm3. In addition, it is magnetically shielded for better interference suppression. It operates without problems at an ambient temperature of -40 °C to +125 °C.
